The Advisory Committee are a mix of legal and investment professionals with many years experience in their respective fields.

  • Rob Rutter

    An ex-Merrill Lynch International Senior Private Banker with over 35 years of stock-broking and banking experience. He has a proven track record in all forms of capital raising and product creation. Rob has in recent times concentrated on Litigation Funding, Private Equity and Project Finance.

  • Mark Dennis

    Mark is a partner at Knights. He is an expert at resolving commercial conflicts, having practiced commercial and insolvency litigation for over 25 years. During that time, he has advised businesses on an extensive range of disputes, from general commercial disputes, to pursuing professional advisers for their negligence and resolving complicated trust litigation. Mark is also a member of the CFS Advisory Committee and will also act as legal advisor to board and will attend all board meetings in a non voting capacity.

  • David Herbert

    David is an experienced litigator and Commercial-Chancery barrister at Locke Lord LLP. He specialises in high-stakes, complex disputes, insolvencies and restructurings – particularly those centered on offshore trusts, structures and investment funds. He works for insolvency practitioners, banks, private and corporate investors, trustees and ultra-high net worth individuals.

  • Neil Clifford

    Neil entered the legal profession in 1971 and founded his boutique practice dealing with all aspects of legal costs on behalf of both receiving and paying parties10 years later. He has been a full-time Costs Draftsman since that time and therefore has vast experience in all legal costing issues. Neil has acted on / or been involved in a number of leading cases in this field and is a Fellow of the Association of Law Cost Draftsmen and also a Costs Lawyer.

  • David Greene

    David qualified in 1980, becoming a partner at Edwin Coe in 1984 and became Senior Partner of the Firm in 2011. David is a litigator. He is a claimants’ practitioner and has specialised in group claims of all natures for over 25 years in the UK and the USA. His main focus is on commercial claims and has acted for large groups of claimants in complex compensation cases, often against major financial institutions. David is Vice President of the Law Society of England and Wales and will be president in 2020.
