Newport Tax Management LLP (“Newport”) is based in Mayfair, London. Established in 2012, Newport acts for approaching 2000 clients seeking recompense from the architects and marketeers of failed investment schemes, often in the ‘tax planning’ arena. All claims are currently UK Sterling based, although this may expand in the future.
The Newport team has pre-eminent experience of this market and employs many of the most experienced people available, covering tax, accounting, IT, banking, structuring and legal disciplines, and has both established and run many of the largest group claims in this sector. Newport’s skills include identifying suitable cases, feasibility studies, technical analysis and the sourcing of independent QC advice, appointment of lawyers and sourcing litigation funding, onboarding of clients and technical input to the claim. Newport is seen as a leader in its field and has worked with many global third-party funding providers in recent years. Newport is currently responsible for running claims in excess of £600 million in value.
